OBJECTIVE Develop a skin care brand extension of a major well known brand. Design a brand system extending over six to eight bottles and containers of varying sizes and shapes. Conceive a design for an in-store table top display, mock up a 3D prototype then coordinate with a fabricator for its production.
APPROACH With teenage girls between 13 to 18 years old as my target audience, I chose Roxy as a parent brand for my skin care line. My focus was on athletic girls who enjoy the coastal and mountain casual lifestyle, demand adventure, maintain healthy bodies, and care deeply about preserving a clean environment and buying sustainable products. Graphic art on Roxy surfboards inspired my pattern choices. I chose bamboo wooden lids with the logo burned into the tops to further my concept of an outdoor lifestyle.
